Everyone experiences challenge and stress in life. We all search for meaning, especially in difficult times.
Our aim is to provide an accessible, compassionate service to help you navigate through that journey and provide appropriate tools for facing life's
difficulties. We provide a safe, confidential and welcoming space for you to talk without judgement, develop your natural strengths
and work together to get you where you want to be.
Connect Counselling CIC is a not-for-profit community service providing counselling for those who would otherwise be unable to afford it. We are a dedicated team of counsellors, either fully qualified or in the final stage of year of training. All counsellors receive regular supervision from a qualified supervisor, are fully insured and will be members of a professional body, either BACP, NCS or UKCP.
We all have times when we feel lost. Anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, loneliness or perhaps just
a vague sense that something isn't right. Issues or relationships from the past that you can't seem to put to bed, or
perhaps an recent encounter that you can't stop turning over in your mind. Therapy can help you
explore these issues, giving you a space to talk, explore how you are feeling and take the next step.
Connect Counselling offers a confidential, welcoming space in the heart of Bournemouth.
Do you feel you and your partner aren't communicating ? Or are small things exploding ? Or perhaps
one partner has had an affair and you can't seem to get past it. Our approach understands the importance of communication
and of valuing your partner however it also accepts and explores the pressures that can exist within relationships. Finance, demands of children and of work, the stress of being in conflict, these are all forces that can easily over-whelm any couple.
Therapy might be able to help you move away from the anger and frustration and re-connect with the couple you once were.
Research has shown that the relationship is key to any therapeutic process. And compassion is the bedrock of any relationship. All our therapist share and believe in the importance of creating a non-judgemental space in which you can feel free to talk, and feel like the counsellor is listening. We offer both person-centred and CBT approach to dealing with whatever issue you bring, we can either explore or ignore the past, we can focus on one specific thing or many. How you wish to proceed is up to you. For more information about the different approaches we offer see our blog.
Therapy should not just be for the wealthy. Money of course cannot make you happy however a lack of it can certainly make life difficult
and in turn can amplify emotional disturbances. This service was created to provide a low-cost,
confidential and compassionate counselling for individuals or couples who are either on a low wage,
students or in reciept of benefits.
