Everyone experiences challenge and stress in life. We all search for meaning, especially in difficult times.
Our aim is to provide a safe, confidential and welcoming service in which you can talk without judgement, develop your natural strengths
and work together to get you where you want to be.
We can see clients from the Bournemouth and Poole area in person, or individuals throughout the country online via Skype, Zoom or Whatsapp.
Connect Counselling CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing counselling for those who would otherwise
be unable to afford it. We are a dedicated team of counsellors, either fully qualified or in the final year of training. All counsellors receive regular supervision, are fully insured and will be members of a professional body, either
BACP, NCS or UKCP.

We all have times when we feel lost. Anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, loneliness or perhaps just a vague sense that something isn't right. Issues or relationships from the past that you can't seem to put to bed, or perhaps an recent encounter that you can't stop turning over in your mind. Therapy can help you explore these issues, giving you a space to talk, explore how you are feeling and take the next step.
You may feel too over-whelmed with anxiety to see someone in person, or perhaps there is no local service avaialbe, or maybe you have transport issues or you may simply prefer to speak to someone in the comfort of your own home. Whatever the reason, provided you have an internet connection and somewhere you can speak in private, online therapy can help. We can use a number of platforms, either Skype, Zoom, or Whatsapp depending on the technology available.
Research has shown that the relationship is key to any therapeutic process. And compassion is the bedrock of any relationship. All our therapist share and believe in the importance of creating a non-judgemental space in which you can feel free to talk, and feel like the counsellor is listening. We offer both person-centred and CBT approach to dealing with whatever issue you bring, we can either explore or ignore the past, we can focus on one specific thing or many. How you wish to proceed is up to you.
Therapy should not just be for the wealthy. Money of course cannot make you happy however a lack of it can certainly make life difficult
and in turn can amplify emotional disturbances. This service was created to provide a low-cost,
confidential and compassionate counselling for individuals or couples who are either on a low wage,
students or in reciept of benefits.
Please note due to the nature of this service some proof of income will be required.
Connect Counselling is a service set up for people who would otherwise be unable to afford counselling; whether you are on a low income, unemployed or a student Connect will be very happy to see you.
